Did you get your complimentary copy of Adobe Lightroom.

I got a surprise email from Adobe this morning containing a link to a free complimentary copy of Lightroom 1.0. Apparantly this will go out to all RawShooterPremium users and Lightroom beta testers.

Well done Adobe. I was expecting a reduced price offer, but not a free copy and with the release of ACR supporting Pentax K10D PEF's, I'm sorted. I just need PhaseOne to finish version 3.7.7 of CaptureOne LE.

When/If you visit your link, be sure to make a note of your Serial Number as it will be displayed one time only.

All I need now is the time to play . . . . .

Cheers,

Adobe has a free 30 day trail of LR for anyone. I've been using it for a few days. Much improved over B4.1.
Please call me aj,

I use a Pentax K10D, on a MacBook with LightRoom (vers 1.3 + beta 2)

Yup, and a very nice surprise too

Mind you I liked RS so it is a bit early to see if LR is an improvement - it maybe a bit too clever for me

My nice suprise was ruined when their webite didn't display the promised Serial Number! I emailed them back, but haven't had a response.

No surprise for me

and I've used Lightroom from the very first beta, when it was Mac only ?

Tim,
Happened to me too.
There was a problem with their notification system. If you refreshed the web browser window you'd eventually get the serial number.

However, if you click "Download" then the URL won't work again.
But, the first batch that had the problem were reset by Adobe so the Pixmantec url worked once more.

There's info on it in the Lightroom forums at Adobe.

Matt,

Thanks, works for me now, but I think I'll probably be sticking with SILKYPIX for a while.

I am disappointed I never got this email. I have been using Lightroom since Beta 1. Was there something special you needed to sign up for to get a free copy?

It was a free offer made tp those who previously owned RawShooterPremium which Adobe bought out
