The shorter macro lenses are very much recessed. It's normal. It does look as though you might be missing a bayonet hood though.

Awesome. The one I was watching went for £56.

Please will you write my eBay ads from now on?
No it didn't. That one was my son's listing and the buyer was in Taiwan or Shanghai, the listing was for UK only. It's still available if anybody here wants it. It's in exceptionally good condition, just missing a front cap. My lad Richard moved to Canon soon after buying the lens, he's never used it.

Even their propellers are in synch.

Thanks for your comments Chris. Can a Bigma be handheld?

I think it'd be fairer to use a tripod this time. We have a beautiful clear sky tonight but the moon is perhaps not high enough just yet, it's a bit 'yellow' at the moment.

I've got a number of lens combo's I want to try. The DA* 300, M 400, K 135-600, and Sigma 135-400, all with and without the T/C. I doubt I'll get them done tonight though, I've had a long day. I'll take some tomorrow night, yellow or not.

I'll also start another topic as I don't want to highjack this one (other than the pic above).

Any pics of the damage to the FA50mm 1.7
It's an SMCP-F 50mm 1:1.7, not FA. I believe that they are optically identical.

Sorry Dan, I jest of course. We do get clouds, quite frequently, but they tend to be limited to evenings and mornings when we do get them.

You see, they can't survive in the heat of the day (08:00 - 20:00'ish), they get burned off by that big yellow globe that sits in our sky. Daytime temp is around 30'ish at the mo, pool is 26 degrees and very handy for cooling off.

Dynamic range should be the same as they have the same sensor.

I managed this last night. Hand held, K10D, DA*300, SMCP-F 1.7x AF T/C. Processed in Lightroom 2 and PS CS2. It's lacking a bit in sharpness but I put that down to it being handheld and relying on SR.

Clouds? No, sorry, I don't remember them at all. All we get here is blue sky and strong sunlight all day, every day . . . sigh.

No, I saw it too. There were pics of wood flooring in there.
