I just read the specs (properly) and these bags are not advertised as waterproof. They do state that the zippers are water resistant though.

Even when I carried a Lowepro Mini-Trekker AW (All Weather) which has a waterproof cover, I also carried a few bin liners just in case.

Long term answer, move to Spain, it doesn't rain here (much)

Another suggestion if you go out in the wilds and need to protect yourself and your gear from the rain, get hold of a new, or ex-army poncho. It'll keep you and your gear dry.

And got your own reflection in there too.

I can't say that I trust online backup services. Paranoia it might be, but I like to know my files are safe and secure from anyone but me.
