'Model Shots'

Last weekend we had a meal at a nice country house to celebrate my other half's grandmother's 80th birthday.

More importantly me and her uncle are photographic enthusiasts and spent a lot of the time shooting, discussing technoques, comparing shots and playing with equipment.

He used to shoot Pentax (has a K1000 and some lenses) but now shoots Nikon (D200).

Here are a few of the shots I got from our 'volunteer' models.

All shot with K10D + DA* 16-50mm F2.8 + Metz 58 and 'Bubblesphere'
Bubblesphere see: https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/Best-Diffuser-Solutions-7030

Remember the U.K. Peter? Remember them big, fluffy white (or usually grey) things called clouds we get over here?

That's my guess anyway.

Clouds? No, sorry, I don't remember them at all. All we get here is blue sky and strong sunlight all day, every day . . . sigh.

Sorry Dan, I jest of course. We do get clouds, quite frequently, but they tend to be limited to evenings and mornings when we do get them.

You see, they can't survive in the heat of the day (08:00 - 20:00'ish), they get burned off by that big yellow globe that sits in our sky. Daytime temp is around 30'ish at the mo, pool is 26 degrees and very handy for cooling off.
