That's much better!

Don't be suprised if you get few (if any) bids until near the end of the auctions - I find people tend to watch until it's nearly over and then all the action takes place in the last hour or so before the end. I see no reason why these shouldn't fetch fairly good prices though so fingers crossed.
For that reason, I eventually limited my auctions to 5 or 7 days.

Good luck with your macro experiments.
I got the same thing at first, but now I can see it.

If you hit "Quote this post" you'll see the link is there.

Did you manage to get hold of one. If not, PM me. I use Lightroom 2 exclusively now and I have some Sandisk memory card licences (somewhere) available for the older version which includes one free upgrade to V4.
Check that they are still valid. I made that mistake when i passed on a couple of spare licenses and they apparently had expired.
Thanks for that. I guess mine probably have too. I'll check.

Pretty good.

First thing I noticed in both versions, was the white rim down the left and underneath. Sunlight, or PP effect?

Second thing I noticed, in the seond pic compared to first, is the number of 'bright' spots all over it. ? ?

Good effort though, better than I culd manage. I think I would have desaturated them though to make them monochrome. The colour is about right though for the actual scene I saw.

I think I've lost the opportunity to take any more this month. The moon doesn't clear the horizon/houses until near midnight and there's less of it each night of course. I was up at 6AM this morning and the moon was very bright, but way to high, near vertical.

Bet the girl in white wasn't so pleased to be sitting on a rusty railway either.

I don't know, she looks happy enough. But you're right, she might not be quite so pleased after standing up.

This is a much maligned lens which IMHO performs very well. Most zooms in this range are soft at the long end. It's a good 'un, you should keep it if it's not already sold.

Nice idea, not to my taste though. Focus seems to be on the engine, which I see more as a background. The foreground subjects (the two girls) are not in focus.

I'm not much of a fan of B&W I'm afraid, but out of interest, why did you not straighten the last one?

If still available, how much warranty left? Have you been happy with the images produced?
