Curious spider. Looks venomous to me, but if it's in a zoo and accessible to the public . . . it may not be.

Just a thought. Yet again, whilst flicking through the 'Gallery' pages of this weeks Amateur Photographer, i see a distinct lack of Pentax entries. Almost exclusively the pictures shown are from Canon & Nikon cameras. Now, before buying my K200, i tried out a few of the Canon/Nikon/Sony offerings and just didn't 'feel' right with them. My Pentax rocks! - So, why do none seem to appear in this publication? (Or am i completely missing the point in a 'If you have to ask, then you don't know' kinda way? lol )

Have you entered photo's into any of their competitions?

The DA12-24 and DA 16-45 would make a formidable pair for land/city scapes.

I imagine they can just be pushed into place but getting the old part out of the body might be the challenging part.

Haven't tried that combo, but the DA*300 + SMCP-F 1.7x AF Adapter works a treat. No perceptible loss of IQ to my eyes.

The DA 16-45mm is a good buy at the moment and far superior to the kit lens. You might consider the new DA 17-70mm. I guess the DA* 16-50mm is out of your budget range, but that would be my first choice if price wasn't an issue.

The DA L (lightened) lenses are interesting, though. Is the DA L 18-55 a version of the mark II 18-55 or the mark I?
According to the spec here, lens hoods are optional.

Consumer goods like DSLR's never sell at the list (RRP) price. To Compare a published list price for an as yet unavailable camera to the actual selling price of an available camera is like comparing apples to pears, meaningless.

I was shocked to see a full frame version and 6 mps.
At the time the article was written (2000), 6Mp was huge.

I'd say that this is about the best that could be achieved with this lens. Well done. Clever use of the plane of focus to get as much of the cricket as sharp as possible.

Exposure is just about spot on. The image is a little soft but that'll be the lens used.
