Hi All,

This is about as close as I can get with the pentax 18-55.
Its also the first bit of post processing I have really done, Sharpened quite a lot and lightened a small amount.
Is it too much?

I'd say that this is about the best that could be achieved with this lens. Well done. Clever use of the plane of focus to get as much of the cricket as sharp as possible.

Exposure is just about spot on. The image is a little soft but that'll be the lens used.

Hi Paul and congrats on your new purchase.
As Pete has already expressed you will be a little limited with that lens when doing macro, but a good attempt none the less.

If you are looking to purchase a macro lens I will be listing an as new Sigma 105mm macro in the next few days. PM me if you are interested. cheers.
