Just a thought. Yet again, whilst flicking through the 'Gallery' pages of this weeks Amateur Photographer, i see a distinct lack of Pentax entries. Almost exclusively the pictures shown are from Canon & Nikon cameras. Now, before buying my K200, i tried out a few of the Canon/Nikon/Sony offerings and just didn't 'feel' right with them. My Pentax rocks! - So, why do none seem to appear in this publication? (Or am i completely missing the point in a 'If you have to ask, then you don't know' kinda way? lol )

Pentax users are especially intelligent and don't find an Amateur Photographer Mug to be a sufficient reward for thei work?

There are occassional Pentax/Samsung pictures that turn up in the AP gallery, but the proportion is probably in line with Pentax's market share. After all, something like 90%+ of DSLRs sold have been Canikons so it's no great shock to see 90%+ of the pictures published reflect that. I've noticed that when AP have their competitions Pentax users often make up a disproportionate number of winners though, so we've obviously got quality over quantity on our side...

Very true although lately Sony have been making inroads into the arena and now appear to be 3rd place in the SLR market.

The way to rectify the problem is to enter (and win) their competitions

I had a picture published in AP a year or so ago, they didn't mention the camera make which is unusual for them, definitely a conspiracy theory

Slightly off topic but in order to get a larger market share, Pentax have to get more people to buy the beginners models and the only way to do that is to pitch them at a lower price than Canon and Nikon. Now they have teamed up with Samsung this should be a possibility.
