Have you checked the Metz site for new firmware? seen someone with the same problem a while back in a discussion in another place, they contacted Metz , and they replied back saying were working on a new firmware update for the K30......this was a couple months ago so it might be up now.

Depends on how much you want to spend , If you already have the 90mm Tamron you don't to look any further , i get great results using it as a portrait lens between f2.8 - f5.6 .

I just got a Carl Zeiss 35mm F2.4 Flektogon the other week and i find it to be a wonderful portrait lens , but saying that you can pick up a lot of manual lenses that will do the job , like i say its what your willing to pay , I don't mind using manual lenses especially for portraits , its not like there going to run away lol

I recommend you buy a converter , the copies of the converter they sell on ebay are not bad , but the genuine converter is best .....it will open a whole new wold up for you , you can pick up superb M42 lenses up at bargain prices ,just check the lens club section on Pentax Forums .

Carl Zeiss 35mm F2.4 Flektogon MC , fantastic glass for not much cash
These go for around 150 quid on ebay, which ios pretty expensive for an old manual 35mm. I have read that they're very good though.
Got mine for £80 plus a spare CZ 135 Sonner that i had , this one is mint condition and its a lovely lens , prices for this lens is going up all the time ,they are hitting the £200 mark for one in mint condition .

If it was a f1.2 i would offer you £200 in the hope you would bite my hand off , because f1.2 is worth a lot more

I think you have been reading too many forum posts about front/back focus, I would recommend you spend a month getting to know and enjoy your camera before you make any adjustments.

I think its a excellent camera and one i certainly won't get rid of when i upgrade to the K511S, the quality of the photos from is the reason I can afford to wait for a K511s price drop.
