Like the third one , what lens did you use ?

Just going to put my two pennies worth in here , i shoot manual lenses 70% of the time using the camera stock screen , I'm always thinking about replacing the focus screen , but as yet i haven't, this is probably because i can manage ok without doing this , focusing is like anything else practice ! practice ! practice ! and you will begin nailing most shots .

As for the focus screen being too dark to focus when the aperture is closed say at f12 , i just focus at f5.6 then close the aperture to f12 or what ever and take the shot.

I tried one of these out a while back , it could have been the same one Geordie tried out if it was from a certain dealer in Newcastle ,it took some good photos but no way as good as the 55-300 .

I was was looking for something with a little wider angle than the 55-300 at the time and thought with the extra zoom this would be ideal , i also passed on it even though i think i could have getting the price down a bit , get the 55-300 Amazon has a deal on this lens at the moment £234.29

Same as , i hate watermarks , the frame works well with this image , plus you will be to do different variations , color , size to suit the image .

Its a bit slower but have you thought about the Pentax-DA 35mm F2.4 AL , its a very cheap lens brand new , think i paid £115 plus its very good!
