I am now thinking (instead of blowing 375 on the 21mm) that I should get a Pentax f3.5 18-250, but have read previous posts that say the Pentax 18-250mm (which only seems available now on Amazon) is the same as the Tamron 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 Di II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro - Pentax Fit.
Is this true are they the same lens? Plus SRS have the Tamron which is where I always preder to buy from.
Then there are the Sigmas to contend with, why is life so full of choices!
Is the Tamron the one to go for do you think, my gut feeling is yes?

Edited copy for those kind enough to comment. Better?
Yes I agree, lamp post and left car had to go, but, other car has to stay for me.
What a compliment, loved David Lynch movies!

As you say it is rare which I am not surprised about as my hubby had a fit of weakness years ago and got it for my Z1 and it was over £450 then.
Yes, I am looking to sell both as I do need funds for a 21mm, but wanted to test the water if I cd get a decent price for them, didnt want to give them away (£40! :shock, not that that desparate yet!
I suppose I could give Chris a call, to see what I would get part exchange, though would I get more for private?

Hi Lilly
Thanks for the link. You may not be aware but we have never added a database to Pentax User because we already have all the Pentax lenses and others on our sister site Photodo: Pentax lenses on Photodo.
Pete
Feel free to start ones up in the PU forums using the same system as the site linked to,
Pete
Let us know what you think.

For example I would prefer to look up reviews and info in this Forum where I do spend most of my photography social time, reseach, participation spare time etc.
Having it here would def. be my preference similar to PentaxForums.
Plus, I do hate having to trail through searches of all other camera makes & lenses which I did not find very smooth or convincing on Photodo.
I dont even like the name PHOTODO!
I am probably going to buy the SMC DA 21mm 3.2 soon and on this Pentax Forum The database is very easily laid out, they had 19 reviews on this lens.
I couldn't locate one review on Photodo, or maybe it was just me and I got lost there?
Overall I prefer the format of PentaxForums database and think it would compliment our forum very much if we did similar as I DO prefer to trust an honour our forum members opinions than those of folk I have no knowledge of. At least here we kinda know who knows what and what they are talking about!
It would save so much time having reviews in just one place on the Pentax User Forum.
But, then that's just my opinion and I always have been different!
So, Peter those are my thoughts, I hope they are of help and interest.
Cheers, Lilly

Been using that for a while Lilly, it does help to get 'real' user opinions when making a buying decision.
They also have a camera review section now, and I found myself having a whinge / put some facts straight about the K-7 here!

One question remains: What brought on that 4" gash?
Prieni
The top of my scalp met the kebab shops metal window frame as I tripped over raised pavement yesterday morning.. Incredibly, my K20 and battery grip which was around my neck with one arm through strap - SURVIVED!which was a huge relief after I was announced OK. I think thats why the head copped it, was too intent on cradling K20!!!

I know this might be a bit too arty and all that but, seriously, I would like some constructive feedback. It's a process I am just experimenting with and I do like it myself but wonder what others feel about it.
cheers, Lilly
