Well its arrived and I havn't done a thing all day except play!

First impressions, I love it, but there is a but...Within certain parameters it does display some back focussing which I kinda expected.

Whether this is correct of me or not as I have not adjusted this before on the K20, I went into custom settings and brought forward AF adustment 2 notches, it seems to have helped and I made sure not to affect ALL! How does it know to adjust for that particular lens? Be grateful if someone can enlighten me.

Experimenting, I think in certain situations you alleviate this problem by manual focus which is something I never have had to do before, but my eyes are not too bad so will try more often.

However, the bokeh, colour rendition, quality as a whole I am very pleased with and it so cool to have such a fast aperture, very creative which I have come to love already on my 50mm, so nice to have it on a standard now

Not much for you yet to look at, but will post up more later, but some for those curious

This is the first one I took, full frame:

Thanks Clarky for going to the trouble of posting those for me, so good of you, it is appreciated mate!
I am getting nearer to a decision now, HONEST guys!
You must be so fed up with me whittling on and on, but what with the damn prices of lenses shooting thru the roof I really want to be sure I am making the right decision as I am not loaded! My finger is poised to go back to my very original decision - way back to the Sigma 30mm 1.4, I really want a fast widish lens, so any moment I shall commit!
Thank you for all help
felicitations, Lilly

I think she is wondering if the f2 35mm is a viable option. It's the lens that I use most of all to my surprise.

Mike
Correct!

I like it Aiki, the reflections, patterns and design, but feel the bottom right takes my eye away, I think you need to just crop it like this, IMHO!

Well today I went to London for the first time for years and probably the first time in 20 years at a weekend. I was delivering my son to his new flat. We had the chance wander round and went to a flower market then Brick Lane then just mooched. I had the camera and discovered that the 21 was ideal for this sort of snatched shot. I knew it had a use and this is probably it. Small, light wide enough but not too wide. Just fast enough although f2 would have been better indoors.

I didn't get one usable street shot but that was my fault. Poor technique but now I know London is a wonderful place to take street shots and the 21 is the lens for the job!
But please can you show me just one you took ? even privately wd be good

So, Lilly if this is what you plan in the future maybe the 21 is indeed for you!

Mike
Thank you vmuch Mike!
You know I had spent all day yesterday shooting at 35 & 30mm on my 18-55 desparately trying to decide which one and the 21mm kept comming back to haunt me as the other just did not seem wide enough!

Please post up one at least you took for me to see? privately if you prefer by pm?
