for those using GIMP, I found this..

David's Batch Processor (Link goes to a web page, not an executable)

this morning. It's a batch processing plugin (hence the title)

I've tried it, and it works great. I practiced on a *(copy of a) folder with 100mB of images, resized them to 150px and ran it, including adding a "_tn" suffix, and it took a few seconds.. new folder size 442kB. Does exactly what it says on the tin.

* It will bever overwrite a file according to the page, and I beleive it.. I just never work on an original file.

And you can pay for it on your Argos Credit card at only 27.9% apr..

According to the Money Matters website (apr calc), if you pay the minimum amount each month it will take over 100 years to pay off.

I couldn't find a calculator that gave a figure for the amount to repay that didn't use the term infinity..

Not sure without looking for the MX, but the ME definitely has an autowinder as an optional extra.. I have one. Sadly though, neither are for sale. I seem to remember that ebay prices were a bit silly a year ago, I saw an ME body in excess of £100, but then as it hasn't been made for a long time, it will probably increase in price naturally anyway.

I've had the same e-mail addy for the best part of 10 years, and every spambot has a copy anyway, so I don't really care if my inbox gets a bit crowded from the survey.. that's what Spamhilator is for..

I don't have live view, but I assume it's the same as the view on the LCD at the back of a P&S? If so, then as an added feature, how about an histogram (I don't like the use of "AN" before a word starting with "H" either.. ) included with live view. Dial in exposure compensation before you click the shutter. A certain help for those with a little less experience than most of us. Ability to switch it off of course, if not needed. It's all there in the camera, just need it relayed to the LV screen.. no cost to consumer..

have you tried updating to the latest version of GIMP. It may well be a bug that has already been fixed, as you say the problem has been around for a while, and GIMP is updated on a fairly regular basis.

I use AVG 8, ZA, Spybot Search and Destroy (Use the Teatimer for constant control of what installs) and SuperAntiSpyware. I've just done a reinstall so haven't put the following back yet, but I'd also recommend installing Spyware Blaster. Touch wood.. I've not had a problem in years.

For instance, I can start a bank with just over a grand in real money, and invent (eventually) around £100k in non-existant money, from that perfectly legally.
