I haven't got internet at home at the moment, hence the lack of posts recently. I can post occasionally from work.. like now, but hopefully I'll be up and running again tonight, pending on the skill of the NTL engineer.

Reuben, you live there. Your job is to stand in the museum car park very conspicuously, holding a rose and a copy of the Telegraph, and we'll come to you..

Actually, seriously, where exactly will we meet, and how will we recognise each other?

If it helps, I'm 5'10", glasses, beard and a ponytail.. I may not stand out much in a museum environment.

As you can see, the station's only a couple of streets away from the museum.

You can zoom in or out of either map to get a better idea of where you are, and it's easy to drive to as well.

So, back to it.. it looks as though we're going to be in St. Albans on the 10th March.

When and where.. locals please. Cheap (free) parking, and a list of things to see.

Actually, for those that live there, can you have a word with a local pub maybe.. free parking.. warm meeting place, and maybe a snack and a sweet sherry..

They get our custom, we save a fiver each on parking.

I'll be driving a petrol Ford Scorpio.. and that's still cheaper than public transport. It's also more comfy, and I can play Radio 4 as loud as I want..

something I hadn't considered to be honest was using public transport. That makes a difference to you obviously.. anyone else need to use public transport, or are the rest of us driving?

If we're all driving apart from Tony, then I'd suggest St. Albans, as it would make little odds either way, I'd guess.
