Hi all, I'm still having trouble getting fine focus with my Pentax manual lenses on the K10D, pictures not always as sharp as I would like, sort of bit hit and miss as to when, oh the joys of getting older.

I’ve been to the optician and yes, new glasses on the way, (had been 4 years since my last eyeball overhaul) this in itself will no doubt go a long way to fixing my problem.

But I still think I need a split prism with microprism ring, like in my old LX and having read the various threads on the forum here, Katzeye seems to be the way to go.
Just before I shell out the best part of $200 ($105 for screen plus Optibrite at $55 and UPS $38 ) and no doubt some additional charge on delivery for customs etc on arrival at my doorstep.

Are there any others that could be recommended, maybe already here in UK, there used to be a Beattie screen to name but one, back in the old days.

Any thoughts much appreciated.

I use O-ME53 with no problems, as a glasses wearer I do have to move the eye about a bit more to see the view finder display info (f stop, shutter speed etc).

However a very big plus point is, that it projects back further than standard eyepeice and hence keeps the lcd panel nose print free.

Use and love the LX with the primes, take the time to enjoy your photography all over again the old fashioned way.

I use the original Pentax stap off my LX (swaped it with supplied K10D strap) as it's much longer, well loved, broken in and comfortable also reminds me of the old days.

How sad am I

Hey Martin, here's a thought, you could photoshop away the shadows on the parrot, I won't tell anyone

Otherwise I would be well happy with the results.

It sounds to me like a 50mm f2 lens you have there. Still a very useful lens, try it on your DSLR and see.

This picture has almost a moonlight quality to it, which makes it stand out from other B&W pictures, gives it a bit of wow.

I would respectfully suggest dodging the left sea, burn in or as Malo suggests lose the sun, tweak the exposure a bit and for my money it's a "hang on the wall", if it were mine.
