Thanks - will look into all suggestions.

Dai_Bach - With Photosmith I see it handles RAW which is good but do you know if it can synchronise with Elements (10) as well as Lightroom?

There seem to be a number of photo editing Apps for the iPad - some free and some fairly expensive. I would use them for editing photos taken with my DSLR (Pentax K5) whilst for example on holiday. I have no problem paying for a good App but wonder whether anyone has experience of them and what they would recommend?

Also I often shoot in 'RAW' and I see there some RAW conversion Apps - again has anybody any experience of them?

I appreciate RAW files use up memory but I do have a 32GB iPad.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers....John

I had the same problem and was advised to clean the contacts on the lens and on the camera. I just used a clean cloth, gently rubbed the contacts(a bit of dirt came off) and have not had any similar problems since.

So do as Alan suggests before trying anything else.

My K5 buttons are all 'pristine' and as for the ISO button I do use this regularly without the 'paint' rubbing off.

Thanks for that info, John.
How effective is that viewfinder. Some are minute and give a small view area. Herself is very fussy.
It does look as if we shall have to bite the bullet and go Canon, as much as this hurts me, being a true blue Pentax man.

regards Thoramay.
I've sent you a PM thoramay.

I have a "Canon Ixus 970 IS" which has a viewfinder. It's a nice little compact, easy to put in a pocket and I'm pleased with the results. But like thoramay I would love a Pentax Compact with a viewfinder.

I would love a Pentax Compact Camera but as far as I am aware none of them have a viewfinder - so a few years ago I opted for a 'C' compact which has one.
One reason I would like a Pentax compact is the similarity of the camera software/menus etc.

Hi Ambiant - I'm sure you'll enjoy the K5 - had mine a couple of months and love it.

Incidentally I see your Avatar is Brighton West Pier - what's left of it!! If you look at my Portfolio you will see I have almost the same shot - although you have better breaking waves!!

Cheers...John
