Hilarious - great fun. It's now on my Facebook page and also I've emailed it to others - good advertising for Pentax.

Well spotted Pete.

Cheers

You can tell Micro$oft you miss it - but will they change it back?
That describes precisely what I was querying - but in a clearer way!! Looks like I'm stuck unless Microsoft make the change back to what it was in XP. Oh well. Thanks Rodders for finding that answer.

As for sorting desktop Icons - no problem Algernon.

Yes - Windows Explorer.

I used to be able to drag and move files/photos within a folder in any order I liked in XP - I can't now. Renaming files to put them in the order I want can take some time whereas it was easy with XP.

Perhaps I've not explained myself clearly John.

There are options to view the contents of a folder by date, name etc but I used to be able to move the individual photo or file by dragging it and then dropping it into a new place within the folder. eg say I wanted photo IMPG004 to be in front of IMPG003 then I could do this by dragging and dropping/moving to the new position but I can't do this in W7.

Does that make sense - a bit difficult to explain?

My old computer used XP and there was a facility within folders to drag and drop (photo thumbnails, documents etc) to a position of your choice. eg if I had 20 photos in a folder I could rearrange them how I liked by the drag and drop facility then I could rename them as a group of photos into the order I wanted. (Hope I've explained this clearly!).

But this facility does not seem to exist for Windows7??

I've checked the Folder Options and the various View options but can't find a way to drag and drop a photo into a new position within a folder.

Can anyone help with this please?

Cheers.....John

Many thanks for the explanations. Never dreamed that F--- referred to the F stop. Now you've explained it to me it's obvious!!
As I mentioned earlier I've now cleaned the lens and removed some muck. I've had the lens for at least 2 years and the problem occurred when using this lens with the K7 and K5.
Thanks all again. John

Thanks all. I decided to clean the contacts with a soft cloth and as Alan says there was quite a bit of muck that came off onto the cloth.

Hopefully that will cure the problem.

By the way does anyone know what the error message actually means?? Just a bit curious!!
