The https://www.pentaxuser.com/forum/topic/dfa-f2-8-70-200mm-63792 ]thread on the DFA 70-200[/link] refers to "Focus Breathing".

- What is this please, and
- what effects, if any, might it have on usability and photograph quality?

Amazon are currently offering a
K-70 + 18-55 WR + Photo pack - Tripod (looks like a Silk), spare battery, 32Gb class 10 SD card + something else** - for £473.55. Here.

This compares with their price for a K-70 body only of £579.

** It might be a sensor cleaning kit.

The recent Pentax DSLRs have articulated screens, so it would seem ludicrous not to include the feature in a new flagship body. After the techno-gymnastics of the K-1's screen, it wouldn't be unreasonable to consider that the Ricoh-Pentax engineers might have produced a neat and ingenious flush-mounted pop-out articulated screen, perhaps released by the top-left button.

The idea did occur to me. I hadn't notced the unmarked button on the left. Very neat if it is.

I note the sensor below the eye piece which presumably switches off the screen if your eye is at the viewfinder. Hopefully that will improve battery life.

Edit:
P.S. The unmarked button may be the flash since the usual flash button has a padlock icon. Any ideas?

I do hope, though, that is has a tilting screen, like the KP or like the K-1. I'd even prefer a K-70 swivel out screen than a fixed screen.
Looking at an enlarged pic., I think not.

Still saying £585.44 for me. Can see a used one at £559 from Amazon Warehouse but I'll keep an eye, maybe I'm looking at a cached page or something, thanks Kea.
You are correct.
I looked at the price and missed that it is a used camera.

Silver now £501.04 and black at £585.44... I had said £600 was my biting point for black but I can see in CamelCamelCamel that it touched £556 earlier in January... mmm, it's so annoying now that Amazon won't simply give you back the difference if the price falls, have to go through returning it etc

Black is now at £559.
