Hadn't been to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in quite a while, but we managed a trip recently on a good day. Signs of autumn beginning to show, but, as always, lots to enjoy. Hope these appeal. All taken with K-70 + DA* 50-135, which hadn't been used for some time.

Very good - big, interesting sky and a clear focal point with the track taking us up to it. Right up my street!

Thanks, both, for your comments - glad you found something to enjoy!

The first two sets show a paler colour palette, probably due to more subdued lighting lower down whereas this set has some bright blue skies and more vibrant colours overall
As much due to the time of day as anything, I think. I was later starting than I would have liked and the sun was high and bleaching the landscape. It wasn’t until it dropped lower in the sky that the colours became more interesting. I’d been hoping for more colour in the heather too.

Views over Edale to Mam Tor and the Great Ridge across the other side, as well as of Kinder Scout itself. A great day out! Hope you have enjoyed the views!

It's a fairly gentle climb onto Kinder and the views are well worth the effort!

Had a super walk last week in Derbyshire. Edale is a lovely spot and a great approach to Kinder Scout. I'd like to give an idea of the whole circuit (about 9 miles the way I went). If anyone is inspired to visit as a result, so much the better! Just be sure to pick a good day! Three parts to the circuit in pictures, all taken with K-70 + DA 16-85.

Peter, John, Serge, thanks for your comments about the light, which is precisely what I hoped people would see.
Serge, why am I not surprised that you would be attracted to the telegraph poles?! (But I'm glad you were, as I hoped they form a kind of frame for the panorama in the evening sunlight.)

Intriguing set, Serge, as always! You often present images which most people would probably not take and which are all the more thought-provoking for that! Thanks for sharing them!
