I prefer the cropped poppy photo, too. For me, the crop moves it from very good to top notch!
Really like the second one, too - those dashes of light on the ground make all the difference.
The third one is similar to some I've taken myself recently - I would be tempted to clone some of the cloud to reduce the brightness of the sun a touch to make it less of a distraction.
But all good, nonetheless!

I've been hankering after one of these for ages as the extra width I think will fit the local scenes I like to photograph most often. No holiday expenditure this year, so when I came across an Excellent + refurbished copy at SRS, I took the plunge. Here's a few from my first run-out with it on my K-70. Please feel free to comment/advise on how to get the best out of it!

Gareth, you have expressed disappointment at the lack of autumn colours to photograph in your area this year. Well, I would do the same about the lack of coastline in West Yorkshire! Your seascapes/shoreline images are always top notch. Great stuff!

Well, mostly fallen. Local walk in the woods, the subjects seemed obvious, really. These caught the light (and my eye.) Taken with K70 + DA* 50-135.
