All good, but the first one stands out for me - well composed and spot-on lighting!

I'm with Steve here (and everyone else!) The first one seems just a tad lighter, which gives it the edge for me.

Use of Sigma lens duly noted!

The threatening sky comes across better in B&W, I think, but there's a lovely hint of colour in the distant sea in the first that takes the eye away from the very broad area of sand. I think I would crop it to 16x9. Both very good, nonetheless!

Agree with above - the reflections in 4 and 5 take them to another level - superb!

If you don't mind me asking.... did you use a polariser?
Yes, almost always have a filter, if only to protect the lens with something that's cheaper to replace! This was a HOYA Pro1 circular polariser.

Steve - I do agree with what you say. I always enjoy seeing your close-up garden photos. I think RHS Bridgewater has better broader views than some I have visited, but, as you say, close-ups with OOF backgrounds will always win the day!

What lens and camera are you using
- K-3 + Sigma 17-70 Macro. First time I’ve used that combination for a good while and pleased with the outcome!

No more after these - promise! (At least, not until our next visit!) Hope that if you are in the area, you might feel compelled to call in! Thanks for looking!
