Wish we had scenery like that (I suppose we do what with the the New Forest etc but you take it for granted after a while) ... very nice indeed.
I can always spend the afternoon on Dunmail Raise I guess?

Well the long zoom has to come eventually, though I think I may have aquired the DA* 300 and convertor before I can get one and I do not need both but we'll see Mike, I too hope...

I like all these. You seem to have quickly adapted to
the camera.

Many thanks to Mike P for making it happen!
Just a small selection from many...
All with the Pentax 17-70 F4, which was the only lens I had until last week! (Again thanks to Mike P!)
Falls, Low Strutta Barrow House, Borrowdale

Heather, from Barrow Fell

Skidda from Barra (Mille19 will understand!)

Late afternoon, Blea Tarn, Great Langdale

Evening light, Blea Tarn, Great Langdale

Moody, Stickle Tarn, Great Langdale (It always is!)

Storm Rising over Scafell (Two people had to spend the night up there this weekend in that! Got airlifted off the following morning, the storm never came any nearer to us than it is seen here, amazing micro-climates in the Lakes...)

Saw that a couple of days ago, if I didn't already have the FA* 250-600mm I would have seriously considered it.
Saying that I don't use the FA* due to the weight and I would imagine the 600mm weighs even more.
The joy of owning Gems like the 250-600mm is often tempered by something else in reality, it's great to try em though!
Not on the same scale but I once bought a Nikkor 70-180mm Macro and a 200mm F4 Macro in the same week just to try em out and then decided I didn't have the patience for it, a cheap, 50mm F2.8 wasn't for me! No I had to spend two grand to find I didn't like it
Seriously you can't go wrong with the 400! (Insert Blasphemy Icon!)
Help I feel the tyldesley Typhoon approaching

As in Ricoh seem to be a little all over he place and arn't really kicking anyones butt!
At least they are interested in bringing new products to bear, which may sell in some numbers and re-thinking the boxy camera. Ricoh have a tough audience because of the fact they have not brought out a FF and not updated the K3 less than a year after it's birth . Although I reckon with this release the American forum will spontaenously combust! looks a fun product to me, I'd far rather put that modern looking thing on my cycling helmet than a scale model of a brick, and it's bright orange too, hard to go wrong with bright orange...Except the K-S1 in orange that one is a bit too whacky for even me!

Hi Jules,
Lovely opportunity for you and made good use of. The one lens fine for the landscape work. I particularly like the late afternoon and evening light compositions. Shame there is no EXIF to understand your settings and use of the lens though, just a copyright notice.
