This seems a good deal on an entry-level kit with a couple of lenses. The link suggests it's ex-demo and only available in blue.

You sure it's not still in guarantee? I think Tamarind have a five year guarantee, not sure about Sigma.

Finally given in and bought a mirrorless camera complete with the "kit" lenses. Can't believe the difference in weight from the K-3 (gripped or ungripped). I will still be keeping the K-70, which at the moment has a bellows attached and 2mm microscope objective, but may well trade in the K-3, (7459 shutter count). I won't be leaving Pentax completely so will stay on the forum etc. I have an adapter with which I can use the old lenses with an aperture ring on the mirrorless but as yet not tried out any of those.
I have used my Pentax gear a with a mirrorless Fujifilm for some years and find they work very well together. I used the Fujifilm for a couple of years with only lenses from other systems (mainly Pentax K and M42) and it's perfectly possible to work like that for casual photography. Now I have a few native lenses for it but still enjoy using it with my old Ms, Ks, Takumar etc

I'm interested in the Marumi filter if the condition is fine. Could you post some pictures and send me a PM with postage costs within the UK and also to Spain?

Many thanks

I've only shot a couple of rolls of slide film, both Velvia 50 and found the 35mm so hard to scan that I gave up. An attempt at DSLR scanning also failed.

I'm glad to see another film available, especially as it didn't take years to get it to market (looking at you, Ferrania) but I doubt I'll be buying any.

What are the first two digits of the serial number (the ones which identify the manufacturer)?

I only use the genuine ones and I have three. Price doesn't seem to have changed much in the last few years and definitely worth it over cheap rubbish.

I have all of the (SMC) DA limited primes and if I had to keep just one it would be the 35mm without a doubt, though it would pain me to lose the 21mm and 70mm.

Maybe if I tried the 31mm I'd prefer the extra speed but I don't know if it'd be enough to sacrifice the macro capability.

The 35mm does everything well, since we're showing some examples:
