Cripes if they're going for that much I might have to dust one of my spares off!

They have been a pricey item for some time. Sadly the Chinese rip-offs tend to flake chrome so I won't use them. I have one non-Pentax one which came with a lens but it gets stuck on the camera so I've stopped using that one too.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I only use the genuine ones and I have three. Price doesn't seem to have changed much in the last few years and definitely worth it over cheap rubbish.

Agreed. My cheap one is not reliable, but the two Pentax ones are faultless

I will not use the cheapies i have had them get stuck on the lens and in the camera. The genuine Pentax ones are way better quality and i have never had any problems with them.BUT it pays to get the instructions and read them if using for the first time.I once sold one to a guy who did not have a clue what he was doing and said it was faulty so i took it back I am still using it now !!

I only use the genuine ones too (never tried a cheap but not inclined to either). There have been various issues reported with non-genuine 645 adapters for 6x7 lenses on the 645D & Z - why you'd risk a non-genuine adapter on an expensive camera is anyone's guess.
