I don't think that can be done. Scratches on the front element are very unlikely to affect image quality, it's scratches on the rear element that do that.

Wow. All of that sounds ominous. Pentax has the potential to succeed in DSLRs now that they are the last man standing, but they'd need to invest in advertising more than anything else, so that people are aware of their products.

I saw the announcement earlier, and some questions struck me.

Who pans diagonally??

How will a crop mode be visible in the viewfinder of an SLR unless they're activating hardware that's been there since the beginning?

As for the focus sensors, I think it's overall an improvement and can be useful. My Lumix S5 does that and it was initially very frustrating because I didn't expect it, but it's actually useful.

I doubt you'll find a good camera on any mobile in that price range so I'd recommend a factory reset though you're on borrowed time if the phone can't handle the newest Android versions.

I'll take an M42 adapter as I don't think I have one.

Please PM me with bank details for the transfer and I can get it done today.

Many thanks

I use JJC branded ones that I got from Amazon Spain but I don't see them on Amazon UK, though there are a multitude of others and maybe the JJC ones can be sourced elsewhere. They are fine and have the added advantage that on the Z1 they block the opening of the film door, helping to prevent accidental opening. The downside is that they block the opening of the film door, and have to be slid slightly upwards to change film.

I don't think there are any updates to any of the DA Limited lenses on the horizon. For a compact wide-angle prime the 15mm is the start and end of the list really.

If you're willing to go for a zoom the Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 out-performs it and I'd say the DA 16-85mm does too, though it's not quite so wide.

When taking into account the age of the K-70 (over six years) I'd say that the KF is a very disappointing release. The upgrades are very minor and, as has already been stated, were mostly due to availability rather than Ricoh choosing to make a better camera. I think with a little effort they could have included more improvements for very little extra cost and that would have sat better with prospective buyers as they'd feel they were getting more for that price hike.

Obviously the big thing would be the fixing of the dodgy solenoids but Pentax will never mention that as it would involve acknowledging the problem.

I've never used them but recently had a look at prices for a new lens I'm contemplating and decided against it. Looking again now on their European site, a "like new" copy of the lens I'm interested in costs around €50 MORE than a brand new one.

Wow, that's a great price for new and in-stock.
