Some nice photos, but in all the time it's been available, I've yet to see any pictures that don't look like they could be produced by a normal APS-C DSLR such as the K5.

Now there's a fine collection of lenses if ever I saw one.

One you have the film in place and the door closed you should be able to wind on ONCE. After that you will need to fire the shutter before you can wind on again. You'll have to do this a couple of times after loading to get the exposure counter to zero (in order to wind beyond the part of the film that was exposed to light when you loaded it). You should have the camera in manual mode to do this.

Im summary, you can only wind on once (film or no film) before you'll have to fire the shutter before being able to wind on again.

Maybe I should start selling my home-made DX stickers, a lot of people seem to worry about this when they have a P30...

Welcome to the forum. I think there are quite a few people on the forum from Scandanavia, is there a Scandanavian forum? I'm a member at a Spanish Pentax forum, but I never look at it, the English language forums are more interesting.

Personally, I'd hold onto the Sigma until you can compare the two, there's no advantage to selling it now rather than later.

So much for plastic mounts being just as durable as metal ones...

Search e-bay for K-mount lenses for "spares or repair", that's probably the cheapest option, but it'll have to be an AF lens or it won't have the hole for the AF screw.

Personally, I'd wait for them to get one in stock, which I'd imagine would be quite fast.

DX coding labels can be made with paper, tin foil and glue, it's easy. However, this is only if you want to shoot the film at anything other than it's stated speed. Most people will usually shoot at a film's nominal speed.

I own both but I'm not thinking of selling either. Both have their uses for me.

The advantages of the Sigma are:

Better colour
Less distortion
Compatible with 35mm film cameras
Better bokeh
Sharper wide open

The advantages of the 21mm are:

Much smaller and lighter
Faster and quieter AF
Much less flare when shooting into light

I keep the 21mm (my most recent lens acquisition) because it's small and light and makes an extremely good small, wide prime for travel or using indoor with bounced flash at parties etc. The Sigma is not quite wide enough, and certainly not small enough, to make it into my kit if I'm traveling somewhere.

I keep the Sigma because the colour rendition is absolutely superb, especially blues, and because it's nice and wide on my film cameras.

For street shooting, where small, quiet lenses are advantageous, as long as you're not a film shooter I would recommend the 21mm. However, my 21mm, even second hand, cost me over three times what the Sigma did, so if you're happy with the Sigma it might be silly to spend so much on the 21mm. Maybe you could get a longer ltd lens instead...

I've never had problems buying here on the forum.

The M 135/3.5 is a decent lens, but even on film it's long for most portraits. Unfortunately, a 100mm will cost a lot more, and an 85 even more than that.

I've never understood why nobody ever made a more economical 85mm prime, an f/3.5 for example.
