I think Harrow Technical no longer repair medium format Pentac cameras, but you could always phone and ask.

The optics in the A version are the same as those in the M mark II, which is not the one shown at the start of this thread. The optics in the original M version are not as good.

I have found, through dry-firing the K2, that after a shot, the mirror and aperture stop-down lever sometimes move up when advancing the film lever. Firing the shutter and advancing again will fix it, but obviously if there were a film in it this would lead to a double exposure. The problem is intermittent.

I opened up the bottom and cleaned out a sticky fragment of light seal from inside the mechanism but it doesn't seem to have helped

Any price reduction is a good sign. Unfortunately, as the K3 hasn't been out for long you can expect the price to keep going down, so at some point after you buy it the price will be less. You decide at the time if the price is worth it for you.

Not brilliant, it can't help you with IQ, but it will give you an idea of the magnification factor.

By the way I can't tell any difference in the AF speed with or without.

The shot with the teleconverter certainly looks softer, but I don't know what the other conditions were.
