It's a beautiful lens, wonderful IQ.

In those days an AF SLR was expensive and manual focus ones were insignificant. How that has changed.
An AF film SLR? Yuck!

Prague is gorgeous, there's lots to photograph. See all the usual tourist stuff but try not to eat/drink in the centre, it's very expensive. A 5-minute walk away from the centre will get you to much cheaper places but with very good quality. The food in Prague is superb.

All of my DA LTD primes, total waste of money.

I love my DA limiteds.

I have a few old lenses I should get rid of but they're worth very little. I might put them up for sale here soon. I do have trouble letting go of lenses, evven if I have a lot of duplication in the focal lengths.

I always shoot RAW for two reasons. One is that the exposure on my K200D can be all over the place, it's very unreliable. Secondly, because I found a quite dramatic difference in IQ (sharpness, colour contrast) compared to camera jpegs, regardless of the settings.

As a film shooter, the FA77 would be my choice.
I suspect, though I haven't tried it, and also as a film shooter, my choice would be the same. My bank account (and wife) do not agree though, so the wonderful DA 70mm will have to do for now. For film I have the M 85mm.

We got the ISO and exposure compensation dials moving quite smoothly and everything seems to work fine. Just as well because a K2 CLA at Harrow costs 86 quid.

Prices for used gear always fluctuate. On the up side, it means it's a good time to buy, though I'm saving for a K3 so I'm resisting most of the things I'd like to snap up (like Lennybloke's entire K collection :lol

I'm looking forward to comparing the K85/1.8 with my M85/2.

As I use them mainly with 'full frame' film cameras like my exes I don't find them fiddly. If I replace my K20D -- which is currently out of action -- maybe I'll use them more on digital.

Best wishes, Kris.
Once you get round to it, I'd be very interested to see what you think of the M & K 85mm comparison, on both film and digital.

Wow, well done. I wouldn't have expected to be able to see that detail with such equipment.
