New Street Portraits (Film)

Posted 25/09/2015 - 20:32 Link
As some of you may know from earlier threads I have had to sell a lot of my digital gear owing to financial problems. However, I just scanned in some films from a trip on the streets a few weeks ago and its gave me the much welcomed happinness boost that I have needed for a while....

I am probably going to sell my DA* 50 135 and other digi stuff soon for much needed cash so watch out for that or email me

All these shots are taken with my trusty MZ-6 that cost me £10 and the brilliant M 50mm 1.7 The film is expired Kodak Colourplus 200

As always any thoughts and comments much appreciated...

It's hard to pick a favorite as they are all excellent!
And it shows too that you don't need the latest expensive gear to get great shots, just just reasonable gear and skill!

All good, as always.
No. 3 is the stand out shot for me.

These are your true speciality Alistair and they are great. I cannot pick a favourite, the quality shines through all of them.

Sorry to hear you will be selling your DA*50-135, that is sad as you have produced some stunning shots with it.

Best wishes

No 3 is beautiful. You obviously take excellent photos with anything. Gear comes and goes, skill is priceless Hope your worries are over soon.

A marvellous set but you really need to upgrade to full frame as soon as possible. No, wait a minute... these are full frame.

Lovely colour and detail.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Sorry to hear about your financial problems but you have your excellent stranger portraits to remind you (and all the rest of us) that photography these days needn't be an expensive hobby.

Numbers 3 and 5 are my favourites.

Thanks to everyone that has made a comment. I have thoroughly enjoyed shooting film of late and seldom shoot digital anymore so i cant say I will miss it until such times I can afford to buy into a dslr again.

Many thanks to all those that commented on this thread.

Top notch as ever... No 5 a personal favourite, but they're all beautifully relaxed, specific, and individual...

Really like these. Perfect DoF. There's a warmth in their expressions that can only come from your approach and communication.
Love the processing too
