I always shoot in JPEG+RAW, which I regard as equivalent to processed photos (JPEG) + negatives (RAW).

The JPEG settings in-camera are adjusted to my preferance, but having the RAW available gives me a chance to play with/adjust/crop/etc any shots that my usual JPEG settings have not worked with.

Ok, you end up with fewer shots/gb on your memory card, but memory cards are cheap enough.

Your K-x will 'do' RAW+, so why not?

Interesting. What is it built around? K-01? Q?

This is the one I bought.

Cheers! My research suggests that for those of us with Android handsets this product is a little under-developed as yet. Poor functionality compared to iPhone users.

Which dongle/cable did you get? The site doesn't seem to be much help.

I have statred re-using my ME Super (an hopefully will soon have a Spotmatic) so want to just get my films developed so I can scan them and then process my shots myself.
If the volume is low, considered having the film developed and scanned by a specialist lab?

Stand to be corrected here, but I seem to remember reading that AF is quicker if you 'pre-set' the lens to infinity before using AF, as it seems Pentax cameras always rack out to infinity then back to the focus point.

Here's one for starters. On the Forum here as 'simonkit'.

Lastly, for the £100 trade-in deal SRS close at 4pm to-day, although I suppose you can order from them on-line until mid-night.

There's another current thread on the exact same topic in which I posted this answer. Hope it helps?

Take as an example an F-stop of f13. The corresponding "aperture value" will read 7.4.

Why? Av is formally defined as 2 x log(base2) of the aperture. So 2 x ln(13)/ln(2) is ~7.40.

Why log(base2)? Because each whole number increase represents a doubling, i.e. one stop.

Why multiply by 2? Because the amount of light let in by a given f-stop is proportional to the aperture's area rather than its diameter, so the aperture squared is the key variable.

A fuller explanation is here:

Method seems to be to push the card in with a thumb nail, then keeping the pressure on the end of the card slid the nail off, at which point the card will spring out.
