I am a bit confused by this comparison between the cost of using an Oyster card vs a travelcard. AFAIK an Oyster card will never be more expensive than a travel card. If you use it constantly all day it will still charge you as a maximum the same that a travelcard would have cost you for that same day. Of course the associated 2 for 1 offers may be a consideration.

Don't you have to buy the Oyster card itself, or at least pay a deposit?

The High Street station is about 10 minutes away from SRS.

Decided on where you're going in London yet?

You can use an Oyster on trains from Watford Junction.
The Travelcard you can't, but it does offer some two for one deals.

Explains it all, sort of.

Problem with the link it seems. I'll Tiny URL it and re post it.
Travelcards are available to/from Watford Junction - (£15.70 off-peak)- but you'll save £3.60 per ticket if you just walk down to Watford High Street station and buy a Zones 1-8 off-peak travel card for £12.10.

Oops! Just realised the travel query is for to-day. Hope you found this out before hand?

The positive point is that this professional feature is available even on lower priced Pentax cameras. It's needed mostly for third party lenses I would imagine. I haven't found a Pentax lens yet that needed adjustment. No doubt I will one day.

I don't see anything negative about something being available though.
I am sure ut says in the manual that feature is specic for pentax lenses.
Which is kind of worse... You'd think that a camera making company would make their cameras work with their lenses without need for any adjustment...
Manufacturing tolerances = need for AF fine adjustment.
Actually the paradoxical consequence of seeing and handling the MX-1 is that it makes me very keen on an X20.
+1.

Sorry, nothing worse for me than a bunch of people trying to take photographs with the equipment waving about at arms length.

I got to see and gave a little play with an MX-1 in the newly reopened Jessops in Oxford Street. They had a nicely laid out Pentax section.

The basic idea has a lot of potential but the size of the camera really warrants a larger sensor. It seems to me that Hoya Pentax have designed a very plausible rival to the Fuji X10. Hopefully Ricoh Pentax will give me a reason not to buy an X20 or X30.

But Fuji appreciate the value of a proper view finder.
