It's an interesting read, but the essence of it seems to be that the risks here are pretty slim and may be more of a threat to smartphones. Not something I'm going to lose any sleep over.

It worked well for you and I think you were quite right to leave everything else behind. Otherwise, the temptation to revert to our normal style can be hard to resist.

It paid off.

ADAPS is holding an exhibition throughout August at Westhoughton Library - https://adapsuk.org/wordpress/2019/07/31/adaps-exhibition-news/ - so if anyone fancies meeting there for a chat just let me know when you're thinking of and I'll see if I can pop over to meet you. It's not very far from where I live, so maybe a good chance to meet local members of PU.

If I only had a Pentax mug I could offer you coffee.....

I normally only get one sample of a lens, but in the case of the mugs I think I do need six. Then I'll be able to check batch consistency as well.

I'll happily take a set of six Pentax mugs!

Other than that, I'm busy shooting images with the kit I've got, although I am interested in the new 70-200mm f/4 when it arrives. And the new fisheye. And the 85mm......

That sounds like mixed information. 720 dpi (dots per inch) might apply to an Epson printer setting. 300 ppi (pixels per inch) applies to the size of your image file.

Our A3 Epson printer also had a 1440 dpi setting, meaning 1440 dots of ink per inch were laid down by the printer.

Why not drop him a PM to see how he's doing?

You don't need to print at 500ppi. The printing company will no doubt specify the required resolution and I would go with whatever they say, but it's very unlikely to be more than 300ppi.
