It's an interesting read, but the essence of it seems to be that the risks here are pretty slim and may be more of a threat to smartphones. Not something I'm going to lose any sleep over.
Best regards, John

don't worry...Pentax cameras aren't advanced enough to run malware yet...
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

K-3 II, K-3 and a K-70 from SRS (having now relegated the K-30 /"K-50" to a backup body), & some Sigma and Pentax lenses (and a lot of old 35mm gear!)

This thread keeps getting spammed - probably the"R" word in the title "attracts" them!
Therefore I think the thread should now be deleted as anyone actually interested in it has probably already seen it, and removing it will save the Mods the "hassle" of deleting any further spamming posts!

An interesting thought, so I've changed the title to see if that stops it.

Just fired up the PC for the first time since 8am and there was an alert message for this thread, but when I Iogged-in then "whatever it was " was gone, and so, I assume, was deleted by one of the Mods for the same reasons as previous spam messages were.
Therefore I guess that this thread is still being spammed, and thus should be completely deleted as I suggested a couple of days ago.

Maybe it's your signature where it says, ''now running the Hacked K-50 f/w"

In that case, a lot of other threads should also have been spammed - but apparently they haven't!
