Just a reminder that PU does not get involved at all in buying/selling in this section of the forum, as per the Terms and Conditions.

So far, there have been very few problems, but, as I said, caveat emptor - "let the buyer beware".

To be fair, there have been several very new members who have arrived here to sell their late father's/mother's outfits and we have been able to pick up some great bargains.

It is always a matter of caveat emptor though, so caution is advisable, as it is everywhere online.

As a final attempt, if all else has failed, you could try formatting the card and then try a recovery program again. That can work.

I was really disappointed not to be able to get to this, it sounds like a great time was had by all.

I think you make fair enough points there Gwyn,. The only thing I would argue (in the nicest possible way!) is that there is art to be made amongst the art, or, if not art, then at least statements about the art.

An example is my website cover photo: http://johnriley1uk.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/012-The-Appreciatio...

I feel that's a valid thing to be shooting in an art gallery, but I'd be happy to hear how you agree or disagree.

Most galleries are now very open to photography, but not flash. Regardless of the rights or wrongs of using flash, from a photographic perspective it doesn't help as it introduces harsh lighting and reflections. It destroys atmosphere.

In any event, we can increase the ISO to levels that are just amazing and that can be more than satisfactory even in the darkest of places.

I can see that a few people are getting a bit fed up with the negativity, and I think that everyone has actually been very accommodating in listening to the contrary view.

The points that were raised have been raised but there's little point in just repeating the same things, so time now to rest this and move on before tempers get frayed.

Although I need to use Photoshop CC, for various reasons, if I were starting again I'd be looking at the free editing suites; Peter has summed up quite a few options.

It's so easy to get bogged down with digital imaging, so keeping things as simple as possible is often the best idea.
