The *istD was the original in the series, and IIRC around £1500 on release. The *istDS was much more affordable, maybe around £850? It was the first Pentax DSLR we could afford.

That second shot hits the spot! Fantastic textures and a perfect choice for black and white.

Some great Whitby images, makes me want to get back there. Next time around we will be back.

It's great to hear that you're out and about again. Take it easy and hopefully it will all flow back naturally. You have a great photo talent so it will be good to see your images again.

As the site is Pentax User, the rule is that images should be Pentax or Pentax related. Very occasionally other things might creep in, but there needs to be a reason for it.

Hope that helps avoid that slippery slope.

I used to use one of these on ME Super and MX bodies. Nice lens, and a very useful 1:4 magnification.

Yes, great to see you back.

We can upload images straight into the forum and the competition, so I stopped using sharing platforms for Pentax User.

For sharing images I do use ePHOTOzine as well.

Look forward to seeing your new (and old) Pentax images!

It reminds me of E H Shepherd's drawing of "Galleon's Lap" (Actually Gill's Lap) from The House at Pooh Corner.
