Sorry for this 2nd post but I couldn't see where to change the title or if it's even possible.

I've had a look at the lens and taken some pictures. The lens was ex demo so the front element was not mint as described, it's fine but not mint.
Cosmetically the rest of the lens is mint.

Here are some photos of it. I'll bung it up on ebay today but anyone on this forum who buys it just take off the postage charge when you pay or I'll bung a tenner in the box it's up to you.

My local shop had a Nikon D50 for £120 so I bought that and a standard lens so I'll use that for every day stuff and use the DS for macro. So I'm keeping the DS, 28mm, 50mm, 135mm, 50mm macro, 100mm macro and 24-90 so that basically I can go either Pentax if they bring out a body I want (FF maybe ?) or Nikon if they bring out a body I want (light enough and cheap enough). I'm selling the lenses I don't use much so the 35mm F2 has gone allready.

Thanks for your comments. i am concerned because I have had my camera lens checked by Pentax and after backfucusing adjustments and the second time front focusing adjustments and thirdly told it's ok. The focusing is inconsistant - sometimes it's incredibly sharp and others soft and not centered. Settings the same of course. f2.4,iso 100 ,good day light, center point. Could excessive play cause this inconsistency?

Mike
I get this all the time with my DS, inconsistent focusing with various lenses. I think it's the camera. What camera do you have.

Stuck it up on ebay for £150 anyone here buys it then they can have free UK postage. If anyone is interested then my mint black FA43 will probably be for sale at £200 + £10 postage in the UK, not sure what to sell at the moment. I will probably keep the 28, 50, 50 macro, 100 macro, 135mm and 24-90.

Well I might be selling the FA24-90, that would fill the gap nicely. PM if you're interested.

The normal 50mm primes are the same design whether they are "A" or "M" so optically it shouldn't make a difference.

There is no "A" 28mm F3.5, this lens is often regarded as ultra sharp but I found it hard to focus.

There is no "A" 135mm F3.5, this is a very good lens and the "A" 135mm F2.8 is supposed to be garbage, one of the worst Pentax ever made so I'd keep the "M".

The 50mm macros are of completely different designs. personally I'd go for the "A" version as it's F2.8 (easier to focus) and more convenient to use.

The "A" and "M" 200mm lenses are I believe the same, the "M" is certainly a very good lens so the "a" would only be more convenient.

Hi lads the FA35 F2 didn't sell on ebay for £165 plus postage so if anyone on this forum wants it I'll drop the price to £150 with free delivery in the UK (1st class special delivery) or £10 delivery to Europe (airmail signed for & insured) . If anyone wants it I'm going on holiday at the end of the week so would have to be sold in the next couple of days.

If nobody wants it I'll put it back on Ebay when I get back from holiday.
