I bought a 2nd hand LX about 3 years ago and it had a sticky mirror but it was cheap enough ( £125 with F1.7 lens ) so I wasn't bothered.

I used it for a year then sent it to Harrow Technical for a service.

I'd previously sent my MX that I bought in 1983 to them for a service.

Service was excellent as usual and I would recommend them to anyone.

I've been using the LX on days out ever since for the usual family holiday snaps, days out at the beach & Christmas.

More fun than digital and definitely a lot more hit and miss.

Just had my first box of Agfa slides back from Boots at the weekend so will have to setup the projector to look at them as my computer is being rebuilt ( it died ) so the scanner is out of action for a week.

They used to say in their adverts "just hold a Pentax" and with the LX it's so true.

I think it's the materials feel and the curves, seriously.

I believe Canon D-SLRs have an "A-DEP" mode that attempts to sort out depth of field. Good idea if it works.

Personally I like the way it used to be done.

Sorry it's a bit blurry, looks like it could do with having the dust wiped off of it too.

I live in Chelmsford but I've never been in a camera club.

Might not be what you're looking for but for around £300 the FA50mm F1.4 is the first prime I'd buy after the standard zoom. Good in low light and good for head and shoulder shots and not insanely priced.

When I had a 43mm, 28mm & 35mm they mostly stayed at home and the FA50 was the one I took everywhere with the DA16-45.

Still if you liked the 45mm on the Minolta an FA28 would be almost exactley the same focal length if they still make them, small too.

I'm not really sure what the fuss over FF is.

As far as I can see if you're using FF lenses on APS-C sensors then you're using the best part of the lens.

Start using the whole thing again and you end up showing up weaknesses in the lens in the corners etc.

I know there are some advantages regarding noise but the sensors are getting higher resolutions and lower noise all the time so unless you want to eat megapixels for breakfast I think we have the best of both worlds at the moment.

I think the main reason for FF is marketing and bragging rights. You're not a serious camera company unless you produce a possibly loss leading FF camers.

A 2nd hand 16-45 F4 is probably the cheapest way to get a decent wide angle.

It's a very good lens I used it all the time in preference to the kit lens.

One of the rarer and faster Pentax M series primes starting at F2.8.
Lovely lens, probably the most useful standard lens in the Pentax M series lineup.

Mechanically excellent all bits work very well.
Optically excellent with no issuse, very clean.
Cosmetically there is one wee screw missing from the body that you'd have to look to find. Other than that cosmetically very good but obviousley used.

Original caps.

Quite rare and a really outstanding lens so £65 posted to you special delivery.
Don't really want to sell it but having bought a 20mm F4 I have to pay for it somehow.
