Allows you to put screw thread lenses onto any Pentax bayonet mount camera but I expect you knew that. £10 to anyone in the UK, cheers.

SOLD

Similar to the Hoya, not quite as good optically but it does have PKA contacts so pretty usefull. Optically this is still pretty decent, sirius made very good lenses like Tamron with interchangeable mounts and were as good as Tamron if you're old enough to remember

Anyway £17.50 delivered in the UK, PM if interested, cheers.

I had 4 teleconverters and this was the best one optically. I never used any of them though so I'm selling the last two. This is a straight PK version. It works and like I say produces excellent results.

Now on ebay, free postage but only if you ask for an invoice before paying otherwise it gets very messy.

SOLD thanks.

Not much to say about this one I also have a PK one that I'm keeping and as I use it on the 500mm F8 mirror lens with a fixed aperture it doesn't really matter whether I have a PK or PKA so this one's going.

PM please if you want it.

I'm just stubborn, anyway I've still got enough kit. If I stay with Pentax all I need is a new body and new standard lens I still have everything else I need.

I don't intend to put the 24-90 on Ebay until next Sunday so if anyone is interested then PM me before hand. I haven't really looked at it closely yet and haven't blown the dust off yet but here are the photos I took of it a minute ago. There aren't any issues with it but I'll have a closer look in the week. I was thinking £175 delivered to anyone on the forum in the UK. I have also put a lot of stuff on Ebay, maybe less interesting but have a look anyway. Free postage to UK forum members as usual.

Pentax prime lens FA28 28mm F2.8 AL prime. Well with an AL element it should be better than the old ones. Full frame auto focus with aperture ring, will work on any K mount camera and support all modes. Manual focus if you use it is smooth.

In very good condition, rear element is very good but not perfect I think there is the tiniest of marks, front element is about mint. Cosmetically and mechanically excellent.

Sorry about the photos being a bit dodgy but I accidentally shot them at 1600 asa some with a ring flash and I didn't even notice.

Yours for £100 delivered in the UK. Quite rare in this condition, beautifully built as you'd expect. Will ebay Sunday.

"the nasty comment"

Basically, you've gone on and on, for months now, making up excuses on why you were selling your best glass, involving many people in threads about your 'fake' (or meaningless to say the least) issues of focus on your pentax ds, and all, all of this, just to go and buy a friggin nikon.

Speachless, and feeling cheated for having read so many threads with interest, now realising that your intentions have been misleading from the beginning.

Regards,

Nathan
I haven't decided one way or the other so really there is no need far abuse and even if I had that's still no excuse.

The DS focusing issues are very real, whether it's just my camera I don't know.

My son was having his school prom about 4 weeks ago. They had the tuxedo + stretched lime etc and we lined them all up for photos. I was using the 24-90, DS and AF360 FGZ. When I looked at the photos some were salvageable but all were back focused often severely.

I was very pissed off. It's not an event I can repeat.

So when I saw a 2nd hand Nikon D50 for £120 I bought it as it was cheap and I wanted to see if another brand / model would focus ok. It does.

At the moment I have enough kit to stay with Pentax or not.

I have a DS, Z1P, macro flash, AF360, AF440, 28, 50 and 135mm primes, 50 + 100mm macros, Pentax 18-55, 50-200 and 24-90 zooms an MX with winder and 50mm F1.4.

I also have a Nikon D50 with 16-85 zoom and have ordered a macro lens.

So what camp I'm in has yet to be decided. I'm hoping that the photokina show will clarify things a bit, I'd like to see what a high end Pentax would look like and also what plans Nikon have like will the D90 be a D300 in plastic or just a damp squib like the D80.

In future I'll just put my stuff on Ebay and not bother talking to this forum if this is the kind of abuse I have to put up with.

Well it's sold now so it doesn't really matter but if you're still curious then examine the 2nd picture above and look closely at the edges. It looks as if it might have been cleaned by the previous owner, not me. It wasn't as good as I'd expected it to be but lets face it it's just a slight problem.

Please could you elaborate on this point specifically.

"Mint as described"... described where?

You seem to imply that there is some imperfection about the front element.

Or am I misunderstanding you?[/quote]I had listed it at £200 and mint in a previous post. I'd forgotten that I'd bought it ex demo and it wasn't what I'd call mint so I reduced the price to £165 to compensate for the non mint optics. I don't think it will make a lot of difference to the photos though and I certainley couldn't complain about the image quality. It took some lovely photos in Austria last year, the bokeh is brilliant.
