it seems to be an issue with a batch of GRIIIs and a cosmetic rather than functional issue?
I recommend get brand new GRiii, my one have an issue with back scroll wheel and is fixed now on warranty. I heard about this problem good few times.

I need send my GR III for service and Ricoh recommend John Pye repair centre. Mayby anyone had already any experience with this company and can share some feedback about service quality ?
