Recently bought the 100mm from them very happy with the service, and the price naturally, also considering the second hand price for that lens is normally higher than that, my next big purchase will more than likely be from them, again because of the cost saving, after that they are pretty much a muchness on my other dream/wish list items.

I haven't had any issues with 3rd party or pentax batteries that caused problems where I was unable to get a shot.

With my k-r it was an additional 2 3rd party batteries, no problems, charged them after being away and they were ready to go, can't remember brand, CE marked and rated higher than original so was happy at about £12 the pair.

Me k3 I have so far only bought one additional energiser this time (2yr warranty), rated lower than the OEM, but to be fair it went in the camera and lasted on a 3 hour walk followed by 2 hours macro work (alot of shots) and still had 2 bars showing when I left the house for this work trip, so far very happy with it, I deliberately left it in the camera for this trip to see what it is like when I get back in 4 weeks.

3 months ago I may have had a punt, pay by paypal or visa and your coin will be covered, Pentax comes with a wordwide warranty does it not? suppose it is down to your risk aversion level in the end.

Having not gotten round to these kind of filters, if you only use a single filter, would it not be possible to remove the outer holder section seeing as it is screwed together, reducing the vignetting?
