Hi There

I'd get more memory if you can, although 8Gb is a decent amount 16Gb gives you much more breathing room when using image editing programs working an raw files. Especially when the the trend is for bigger files with each generation of camera..

I use Mac's rather than PCs but the only advice hold true for both.

cheers
Andy

Hi David

Did you get hold of some raw files from the Sigma 17-50? I recently bought this lens and love it so if you would like me to send you some alternative raw files taken on a K3 then I'd be very happy to do so.

If you were a little closer to warwickshire, or heading down this way at any point you'd be quite welcome to borrow it an have a play.

Cheers

Andy

Thanks David, great tip.

Unfortunately I seem to have left my set of three 100mm ND Grads on the side of a hill in the peak district somewhere... DOH!

Hi Fletcher8

Personally I think the latest version is almost there and it's a beautiful family portrait. Although I still believe that the boy's eyes and the girl's on the right of the picture still look slight unnatural.

I often hark back to something I was once told by an an extremely good family portrait photographer who makes an incredibly lucrative living from this genre. When he presents the images to his clients not one single person of the hundreds he's worked for has said 'Thats a great image, but the f-stop could have done to be slightly wider or the whites are a little burnt out there' At the end of the day all they see is the beautiful smiles of their kids, and I'm sure the parents family will love this image.
