Thanks for that, I've decided to stay for the weekend now so planning to try and get a spot on the boat trip on Saturday. Hopefully get some interesting shots .
Spent the day at Harlow Carr today with my parents, fantastic weather. Always have problems photographing gardens but got a few shots lol.
Where did you end up today, lakes again ?

By the way - when I got back to the car park last night - I bumped in to somebody I had been talking to earlier - he told me that he had been watching Puffins as close as 15-20feet away for 3 hours from the 'grandstand' which I think is the platform in a direct line from the building - so if you get chance to go back - may be worth a look there.
