I did see an advert just before Christmas (can't remember who it was for unfortunately) where the K10D was being advertised under the strap line, "Hurry, Last Few Left".

Of course, this proves nothing as the retailer (it was one of the bigger ads in Amateur Photographer) may have just been winding down stock, but on the other hand if Pentax have already started production of the K20(0)D's then they would have had to free up production line space to do so. There will probably be a supply of "new" K10D's about for a little while longer yet though...

Love the picture, but I'd have said more of a butterfly than a tiger...

Are some brands much brighter than others? Could we have some sort of straw poll of monitor brands/models and whether the noise is visible?
I can see noise (not a lot and not offensive to my eye, but it's there) and I'm using a year-old Philips 19" LCD monitor (reasonably cheap and cheerful but OK quality).

Well done on the judging Martin and congrats once again to Lilly - you must be running out of topics by now?

I agree, this is a .co.uk website and should be based on UK time . . . even if it is wrong (when compared to the rest of Europe).
Yeah, but who has the standard that the rest of the World sets its watch by?

Yay! For GMT

Sell my DA18-55 and my M50/1.4 and put the money towards the new DA35 Macro - assuming it actually sees the light of day in 2008 of course...

I got a shirt, some chocolate, a CD, a wallet, a clock radio and a wheel brace.

In addition, I also inherited a new (to me) Pentax camera! It's a Pentax Zoom 90 (late 80's era compact with a 38-90mm lens and AF, motor drive, etc) complete with original box, paperwork and accessory leather case - none of which had ever been used. It belonged to my (late) Great Aunt who bought it when her eyesight started to deteriorate as she thought the AF would help her get shots in focus - she was a great photographer in her day but unfortunately died before even running a single film through the Pentax. My Great Uncle had heard on the family grapevine that I was using a Pentax camera now and thought I might like to have a play with it (all her old 35mm SLR and medium format gear was re-distributed and/or sold many years ago). Needless to say, I've put some CR123's and a roll of Ilford Delta 400 into it and I'm now looking for a good excuse to go and shoot some film again - New Year's Eve's looking a likely bet right now...
