Me? Coal. Well, what did you expect? It's cold here - we burn the stuff.

Actually, I have no idea what I got, as we're waiting for my youngest to arrive home on the 27th.

So, I must live vicariously through YOUR loot .

Whad we get? Huh?

Can I see? Huh?

Aw, come on...

This may give you some idea why I get coal.........

I got some cash which I'll probably spend on camera equipment - current thinking is probably a Pentax 645.

Geez Guys,

Misery loves company, eh?

Good on the Medium Format, though!

Everybody else is outside snappin' away with their new gear - I just know it!

Evil Brothr-In-Law spent 7 grand on himself - Nikon D300, lenses, top-of-the-line Nikon flash, and carbon fiber Gitzo tripod.

It's his very first digital camera of any sort.

Boy, is he overwhelmed - 400 page manual, 2700 page DVD.

Too bad Nikonians don't have as cool a site as Pentaxians.

Happy Christmas Day to everyone - I'll hoist one to you all.

Cheers

this year..so far...
(I got myself a big stack of gift tags)...
so I got a cell phone, a crystal radio set....some clothes that are too small...some software, some games, some puzzles, a toy cash register, some posters, some trucks...a roboquad....
there's still more stuff under the tree, we have two more parties to go before they all get opened, but oddly enough, everything was addressed to me....
I'm sending the kids outside to go sliding....they seem a little depressed...they're bumbing me out...this is the best Christmas ever....
now I'm off to program roboquad to attack the cat!
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I got a hangover too!
But earlier on I got the Metz 48 AF 1 which actually came last week but was taken off me and wrapped.
I also got my old manual lenses back on Monday from being cleaned and serviced, which was a nice little Christmas bonus.

Today's the day - well, this evening actually.

Daughter #2 scheduled to arrive from Toronto after supper.

Good thing too! The pile of stuff under the tree keeps growing as Marjolaine just keeps shopping! (We've discovered that all of Santa's reindeer are actually pregnant females, and I think Santa is actually my WIFE!)

MX Veteran, so far this Xmas at the in-Laws, I've been using my old M42, 1:2.5, 135mm Super Tak on my Spotmatic II, and going for individual shots vs vista views of the chaos. My only concession to technology is an AF280T flash set on auto. Can't wait to see the prints.

Tonight I think I'll use my 55mm, 1:1.4 Super Tak and get up close - smaller group.

Tim, I plan to get a hangover. I WON'T be outdone! (I blame George. But then I always do. Cheers George!)

Clarky, I HOPE to do as well! Bravo!

Don ...... STOP IT! RIGHT NOW!!!!

Gwyn, we'll trade stories tomorrow?

Mongoose, hope Sis feels better! Chin up! We can call it Kwanza (starts today?) Anyway, let us know.

AJ, working on a GREAT library! (another neat side of this hobby).

John and Matt, where would we all be without you two? Thanks for another great year.

Kim? I hope you are still checking in often enough so we can wish you Compliments of the Season - be well!

Cheers Everyone!

To Niblue. Which 645 are you looking for? an auto focus model or manual focus.? I have a manual focus model in (quite / very / good) condition with 75mm. 55mm. 200mm. and 75mm leafshutter lenses. also the converter to fit 645 lenes to a 35mm camera plus I have a AF400T hammerhead flashgun with TR power pack all looking for good homes. I hadn't thought of selling them 'til I saw you were looking for one and I've no idea what they are now worth but I'm sure someone out there could give us a good guide and we could come to some suitable agreement if you are interested? George It must be dammed uncomfortable with your tongue in your cheek all the time. We'd all be very thirsty if we all took everything with the pinches of salt you dish out. After all it is only Dec. and not April 1st. CHEERS Vic
