It's amazing how tame they are when you're providing boiled eggs...

Get them all mate They hold thier value so well you won't lose anything and can re-sell down the track if need be.
You can't imagine how tempted I am by that course of action right now!

I think I might wait and see what pictures others come up with using the DA35; the 31's still in production so there's no rush...

Well, I just got the 43 for what I thought was a reasonable £210 (in silver of course!), and from the quick play I have had with that, I now fully understand and agree with the Limited / Prime conversations I see so often! So full set for me when funds allow!
The silver ones take better pictures - that's what I tell everybody anyway.

It was the 43 that got me hooked on the Limiteds and it's by far my most used (and useful) lens. The 77 hasn't replaced it in my affections yet but I can see it has the potential...

The DA 35mm is, as yet, an unknown quantity.
The thing is, today's unknown quantity could well be tomorrow's legend! The DA35 may turn out to be the best lens Pentax ever make (OK, I know it's unlikely but it is possible). The initial impression made by the 77 is making the 31 favourite at the moment though I have to admit.

Based on everything I've seen and heard about the FA77, when I found out they were being discontinued I had a sudden attack of LBA and I'm now the proud owner of a lovely silver one to match my FA43. It only arrived a couple of hours ago so I haven't had a lot of time to try it out yet, but here's one of my first attempts with it:

I think I'm going to like this lens a lot but it's put me in a quandry; do I still go ahead and buy the DA35 when it eventually hits the shops or should I seek out an FA31 (in silver of course!) to complete my FA Limited set? Seems a bit of a waste having both, as one of them surely wouldn't get used.

That's a very brave male spider in the second pic - hasn't he seen the documentaries showing what's about to happen to him?

12-24 / 43 / 100 Macro

But then I might just be biased towards this particular combo...

Not quite, they don't give Green Shield stamps.
Which is ironic given their beginnings!

That's a cracking shot of the moon Clarky, and I really like the sky in #3 as well

Gwyn makes an excellent point about things going wrong in the first year, I find a year's warranty is generally good enough for just about anything electronic as problems are much more likely to arise straight from the factory than they are 2 years down the line. If you get through the first 6 months trouble-free then the chances are you're in the clear until old age and wear&tear catch up.
