do I still go ahead and buy the DA35 when it eventually hits the shops or should I seek out an FA31
No contest, complete the set of FA Ltd's. The 31mm produces stunning images and they are compatible with 35mm film bodies. The DA 35mm is, as yet, an unknown quantity.

The thing is, today's unknown quantity could well be tomorrow's legend! The DA35 may turn out to be the best lens Pentax ever make (OK, I know it's unlikely but it is possible). The initial impression made by the 77 is making the 31 favourite at the moment though I have to admit.

Get them all mate They hold thier value so well you won't lose anything and can re-sell down the track if need be.

Well, I just got the 43 for what I thought was a reasonable £210 (in silver of course!), and from the quick play I have had with that, I now fully understand and agree with the Limited / Prime conversations I see so often! So full set for me when funds allow!

You can't imagine how tempted I am by that course of action right now! Get them all mate They hold thier value so well you won't lose anything and can re-sell down the track if need be.
I think I might wait and see what pictures others come up with using the DA35; the 31's still in production so there's no rush...

The silver ones take better pictures - that's what I tell everybody anyway. It was the 43 that got me hooked on the Limiteds and it's by far my most used (and useful) lens. The 77 hasn't replaced it in my affections yet but I can see it has the potential...

I think I'm going to like this lens a lot but it's put me in a quandry; do I still go ahead and buy the DA35 when it eventually hits the shops or should I seek out an FA31 (in silver of course!) to complete my FA Limited set? Seems a bit of a waste having both, as one of them surely wouldn't get used.
