I did a series of shots a couple of weeks ago while idly considering dumping my DA12-24 in favour of a DA21 and the new DA15 (decided against in the end). There's no 10mm shot as I don't own a 10mm lens, and I didn't take one at 16mm but there are 15mm and 18mm ones here so you can use a bit of imagination...

12mm

My kitchen's not the most interesting of subject matter but it's fairly typical of the indoor scenes I use this lens for.

I don't own the DA35 (yet) but I've been very impressed by all the photos I've seen from it. Here's a link that I've posted before: click

Probably one of the most positive lens reviews I've ever read bar none! I think you'd be very happy with it.

I think they're both good shots (and marginally prefer the first) but I'm with Giving Tree, I'd like to see a little colour in the iris.

If anyone is still looking for one of these Argos have it for a pretty reasonable price

I wonder how many they've sold at that price? Someone, somewhere is crying into their beer...

I just looked at the Kauser site and I see what you mean about not mentioning Pentax by name, however, I just put that down to laziness/ignorance on their part. The Seagull comes with 5 slip-in plastic adaptors which between them cover most cameras made in the last 30 years or so - making it (almost) universal.

Kauser are just importers / distributers so they probably don't take as keen an interest in the product lines as the resellers / end users do. Judging by the average UK price they certainly take an interest in adding in their cut though!

If it were me I'd ask a friend who does have an eBay account to buy it for me...

A friend of mine has a GX-20 and bought it based on reviews which, as you say, tend to favour it over the K20D. Samsung use slightly different processing algorithms for JPEG output which seem to be preferred by reviewers, however, if you're shooting RAW then this will have no effect regardless of which camera you're using.

Comparing the GX-20 to my K10D I have to say I do prefer the Samsung menus. They may offer the same options as the Pentax but the blue/grey colour scheme and choice of fonts just makes the Samsung a little easier to read and quicker to browse - I think Samsung's experience in consumer electronics shines through at that point.

The Pentax does of course offer two RAW formats (PEF + DNG) to Samsung's one (DNG) and can generally be had for less money than the Samsung. The Samsung hits back with a 2 year standard warranty instead of Pentax's 1 year (2 year if bought from a Pentax Pro Centre).

As a RAW shooter who rarely delves into the menus I'd be quite happy with either to be honest!

Presumably these are available in GB.
They are available from the usual suspects like Speed Graphic (£78.25) and SRB-Griturn (£79.95), however, I bought mine from one of the Chinese sellers on eBay and paid less than 30 quid including p&p.

I've bought several items from China/Hong Kong without any problems and postage is usually around 7 days from mainland China and 3-4 days from HK, quicker than some UK based suppliers!

The Seagull (sometimes branded, often not) with the 2x magnification is the slightly older model, the version with the 2.5x magnification is its replacement. Both are still pretty widely available new though.

I've got the 2.5x model and it does just what it says on the tin! Handy for macro and general copy stand work but you wouldn't want it attached all the time like the eyecups.
