the new grip takes a Li-Ion OR 6x AAs for emergency power. You can't argue with power versatility.

New processing engine. Although we don't know any details it's actually going to have quite an impact on IQ so let's hope it's good! Written by Silkypix with any luck...

You think right. Modern microphones can be aimed quite precisely at your sound source and away from background noise. Like an external flash they'll be more flexible in use too.External mics are usually directional, that is they record in a forward cone, so less chance of camera focus noise as it will be below the cone.

Thanks pete,
Sorry, but I'm a newbie and dont really understand what you mean- on my M135 i put it on manual and adjust the exposure with shutter speed and the aperture ring, it is hit and miss but a great way to learn, please correct me if i'm getting hold of the wrong end of the stick here
Chris
If you let the camera set the shutter speed with certain older lenses then it can give results that are 1 or even 2 EV away from what you may normally expect. If you know your own lenses and how they behave then this is relatively simple to compensate for, some folk would rather do without the hassle and just have the camera get it "right" first time though. Thanks pete,

With the camera on the tripod were you looking through the viewfinder when you took your shot? Moving your eye away from the VF (and not covering it) allows more light to fall on the metering sensor and so will change the exposure value given by the camera.
