What hasn't been mentioned (yet it's something I find important) is that the M series lenses - rightly or wrongly - just give the impression of higher quality build than the A series ones. They're more compact, less plasticky and just feel right somehow.

Mike, if you don't use them much & you don't see the difference, then sell the one that will fetch the most money which you can put toward a bit of kit you would utilise more.
IMHO of course.

It's a lot longer than a regular TC and I'd imagine the offset works in the same way as extension tubes. Don't forget this is pre-PK/A so we're talking 70's tech here.

So what did you use to get this close? Looks like more than 1:1 to me...

Suprised the Pentacon 135 is still there after nearly a day though, I was expecting to get my hand snapped off for £30...

I'll be doing some more auctions next week with some pretty shiny things; in the meantime though I've got far too many untested lenses which will never get looked at, hence I've put a load of them on eBay with reasonable Buy-It-Now prices (in an attempt to catch up a bit).
You can find them here (if they're still for sale by the time you read this!) and this is what's listed:
Pentax K Mount
Chinon Wide Zoom MC 28-50mm f/3.5-4.5 (small fungus) £8
Cosina Cosinon-W MC 28mm f/2.8 (aperture locks when focussed to infinity) £8
Sigma Tele-Macro Converter 2x 1:1 (large fungus) £10
M42 Screw Mount
APS Auto Teleplus 2x Tele Converter (good) £4
Albinar Super Auto 135mm f/2.8 (good) £20
Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f/2.8 late style (minty) £20
Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm f/2.8 zebra style (large fungus) £10
Hanimex Automatic 35mm f/2.8 (good) £20
KMZ Helios 44M 58mm f/2 (minty) £15
Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 Preset (extensive brassing) £30
Pentacon Electric 29mm f/2.8 (scratch on glass) £10
Prinzgalaxy 35mm f/3.5 Preset (minty) £20
Unitor Auto Wide 28mm f/2.8 (good) £20
Plus another dozen or so assorted Minolta MD / Olympus OM / Praktica PB mount lenses. And a cased set of supplementary screw-in wide/tele lenses for video cameras (37mm and 46mm threads with included adapter) which are from Sigma and look to be unused (£14.50).
The above sales are all live now and run for 10 days, the auctions (99p start / no reserve) start on Monday evening and will run for 7 days. There are a couple of Pentax related auctions amongst them; a Centon K100 (Pentax K1000 clone) outfit boxed with lens (50/1.7) & accessories and practically as-new, and a mint / cased version of the M42 Pentacon 135mm f/2.8 Preset with original original hood and caps. Plus cameras from Olympus and Rollei and a super-rare Haiou-64 lens for Minolta MD.
