[quote:3496ace15f="rothwell"]Guys, If you have a camera that has dissintegrating or sticky light seals you can easily and cheaply DIY!
There is a seller on Ebay called interslice that not only provides the kit, but the after sales service as well.
The kit less than £6 is enough material to do 6 slr's. Along with this kit you will require a craft knife, a rigid steel rule and a can of lighter fuel. All instructions are included they are extremely detailed and comprehensive any further information is provided by Jon the vendor(via email).
My first attempt was an ES11, with sweat beading on my brow and shaking hands it was like I was doing a heart transplant. The second and third where much easier an ES and a Spotmatic. I still have loads of material left and will be doing an ME super at the weekend. I include the link for an auction by interslice, if it doesn't work you can do an advanced search for interslice. Good Luck. Geoff.

I've used one of their kits and re-sealed most of my 'M' series cameras.

The kits work well and the instrutions are clear and easy to follow.

To follow on from womble's earlier comment, the MX is a superb FULLY manual camera.

If you want some auto functions check out an ME super.

Down load the manuals and have a read before committing, but be warned using film gets addictive!

Manuals available here, just search the pentax section for what you fancy.

I have several Hoya lenses.

Build is good, image quality likewise.

The only downside is they tend to be heavy.

I assume it's this one your watching, There;s currently 3 up on ebay

Good luck

I'm using Lidl's own brand 2300 NiMH batteries.

They're cheap but seem to work OK, although I do have them in a grip and the camera.

Thanks for the info.

So let me get this straight, my K110d and a R72 filter should allow me to play in the IR, getting shots like DOIK's.

When the Xmas rush is out of the way I'm going to Play.

Fair comments George, as the winter days grow darker I'm going to play, sorry, practice with my flash stuff and who knows, I may get it right.

But there again...

To quote John;

The K10D was poor for IR and we can see why.
The K10 and K200 share the 10meg sensor, so...

Do the other cameras I have share a common make sensor, perhaps Sony?

Which would explain why they see more IR.

After bidding on several Zeiss Sonnar 135/3.5's (and not being prepared to pay very much money for one, so losing out every time) I finally won one for the princely sum of £26.00.

The description was poor (as was the photo) and I only spotted it with less than an hour to go so had no time to ask the seller anything about it; subsequently I've spent the last 10 days waiting for it to arrive and wondering if I'd bought a complete dog.

To cut a long story short it arrived this afternoon and I can only describe it as mint - in fact it looks like it's never been used! Focus is smooth, the aperture clicks round nicely and positively and the original caps are present and correct. Even the slide-out hood has just the right amount of friction. Glass is the very definition of pristine and there aren't even any flecks of dust inside, let alone fungus!

I stuck my M42 adaptor on it and went out to grab a few shots before the sun went down and I couldn't be happier with the results.

So today's one of those days when I'm rather pleased with eBay...
I have a mint, still in the box, unused Hoya 135mm M42 lense, and am waiting for an old Honeywell Spotmatic to use it on.

Should be here before Xmas but...

Will post a few shots when I've had chance to use the combo.

Ah! Flash, now that's a different issue.

When using flash, something I avoid, I really should Photoshop!

Any ideas?
